The District Probation and After Care Association, Aurangabad was incorporated in 1954 as a Public Trust by the group of eminent personalities of Aurangabad district under the honorary secretaryship of Shri.Hirubhau Jagtap to provide shelter, education, vocational training and rehabilitation facilities for the Orphan, Neglected, Begging, street children, Child labours etc and all children in need of care and protection and children in conflict with law.

Late Shri. Balasaheb Pawar Ex.Member of Parliament. Late Shri. Gurubaksh Singhji Chhabda Lt.Shri. Pundlikrao Ranjangaonkar and various other people have dedicated their efforts to empowering children to reach their full potential.

The District Magistrate and Collector, Aurangabad is the Ex-officio President of the institution this institution is governed by managing committee of about 20 members of repute from diversified field under the executive Chairmanship of Shri.Mansingh Pawar. and Mrs.Sushilatai Jagtap is the Honorary Secretary of the institution. And a Superintendent is deputed by the of Women & Child Development department of Govt. of Maharashtra to loookafter the day to day affairs of the institution.

The institution is associated with the women & child development department of the government of Maharashtra which provides grants to cope with the basic needs, but other activities like vocational trainings and better infrastructure expansion etc. institute needs more funds to reach the heavy expenses. The motto is to educate and train the inmates so that they can earn their bread and butter and live a life of dignity after release from institution.

Our children have been successful as District Judge, Police Officer, Army Officer, Entrepreneurs, and News Reporters etc. Many children have successfully completed the elementary computers courses and were provided with computer certificates like MSCIT, DTP operations, etc. These children are very thrilled to have completed computer course and look forward for advance computer courses. Govt. of Maharashtra had awarded this institution by “AHILYABAI HOLKAR AWARD OF 19997-98” for out-standing work in the field of child development.

Rehabilitation is an ongoing task. The efforts continues and today the institute having capacity of 100 intake capacity and taking care of such unprivileged children. It requires joint efforts and co-operation from Society. We have launched a project of Greeting Cards painted by our inmates, Candles prepared by our inmates. We appeal you to purchase these Greeting Cards, Candles and help us in mission of taking better care of our inmates.
